Avant de travailler à l’université, j’ai occupé pendant quelques années divers postes dans le champ des loisirs, de l’animation et de l’éducation populaire.
J’ai notamment, en parallèle de mon cursus de master, été chargée de mission et de communication dans une MJC d’un quartier populaire de la ville de Metz. À cette occasion, j’ai eu l’opportunité de travailler à développer des projets innovants à destination du public adolescent de la structure, comme la mise en place d’une MJC autogérée. À ce titre, mon travail s’inscrivait dans une logique de recherche-action. Une mission ayant trait au développement de l’égalité et de la diversité – notamment en terme de genre – chez notre public adolescent se trouvait également au cœur des tâches dont j’avais été chargée.
Parallèlement, je me suis également investie dans le développement de partenariats avec les établissements scolaires du quartier, et ai animé des ateliers vidéo et radio avec différents publics de collégiens.
En ce qui concernait la communication, j’étais chargée de la prise en charge de la communication de la structure sur les réseaux sociaux et en format print. J’ai notamment conçu vidéos, flyers, affiches et compte-rendus photos de nos activités.
J’ai quitté ce poste en janvier 2017, quelques mois avant de commencer mon doctorat en arts du spectacle au sein du Laboratoire Lorrain de Sciences Sociales de l’Université de Lorraine. Néanmoins, celui-ci a constitué pour moi une expérience professionnelle importante qui a profondément marqué la suite de mes activités. J’ai en effet pu développer par ce biais des compétences ayant trait à l’enseignement et à la communication qu’il m’importe de réinvestir dans l’enseignement supérieur.
J’ai obtenu un contrat doctoral en octobre 2017. Au cours de celui-ci je me suis investie dans différents projets de recherche et charges d’enseignement, dont le détail est disponible dans d’autre catégories de ce site.
Le financement à temps plein de ma thèse m’a également permis de m’engager dans des travaux éditoriaux. J’ai rejoins le comité de rédaction de Volume! en 2018, et j’y ai depuis effectué différentes tâches de secrétariat de rédaction.
J’ai également pris part à l’organisation de différents colloques.

Before I started working in HE, I had several years in the fields of youth leisure and education.
Simultaneously with studying for my MA, I was project and communication manager in a youth leisure centre, located in a popular neighbourhood of Metz, France. This gave me the opportunity to work on innovative projects aimed at teenagers. The leading goals of the projects we developed were (1) to give teenagers more autonomy in the organisation of their leisure time, and (2) to enhance equality and diversity – especially regarding gender – within the groups of participants. Thus way, my work here was related to a form of action-research.
Meanwhile, I also developed partnership with secondary schools and high schools of the neighbourhood. They notably gave me the opportunity to organise video and radio workshops for their pupils.
As for communication, I was in charge of social medias and print communication. I conceived videos, flyers, posters, of our daily activities.
I left that position in January 2017, a few months before I started my PhD in Performing Arts at the Université de Lorraine. Nonetheless, this professional experience has always been important to me, and has profoundly impacted my following activities. During two years, I have been able to acquire and develop skills related to teaching, animating workshops, and communication; and I now care about transposing them to higher education.
I obtained funding for my PhD in October 2017, for a duration of three years. During that time, I have been involved in several teaching and researching task, all of which may be overviewed in the different categories of my website.
Doing a PhD also gave me the opportunity to get involved in editorial projects. I have joined the editorial board of Volume! In 2018, and have completed a few copy editing mission since then. I also took part in the organisation of conferences and symposiums.
